Steve came to Nicholson Construction with a background in domestic carpentry.
Initially commencing as a carpenter, his skill and expertise soon had him fulfilling the role of Site Manager and later as a Project Manager.
As a Director, Steve’s leadership skills, excellent communication, self-motivation and ability to think laterally have ensured the achievement of company, client and personal goals.
He is driven to deliver the best experience and outcomes for our clients and therefore the best outcomes for our projects.
Steve’s collaborative leadership style, customer service focus, combined with his ‘whole of project experience’, helps to ensure his objective – which is to exceed our clients expectations.
Richard joined Nicholson Construction in 1996, and has been Managing Director since 1998. A qualified Civil Engineer specialising in structural engineering.
Since joining Nicholson Construction, Richard has grown the company from a locally-based contracting firm in Ballarat, to a major commercial construction company completing projects up to $30m across the State of Victoria.
He is a proactive leader and committed to community engagement.
Dean commenced his career in commercial construction as an apprentice with the Master Builders Group Scheme, gaining a trade qualification as a carpenter.
He joined A W Nicholson Pty Ltd in 1985 as Site Foreman, and in 1998 was promoted to General Manager of the business. Dean bought into the company in 2004 and since that time has been a partner of, and Director with, Richard Nicholson and has become an integral driver of the company’s growth.
Dean has extensive experience with major regional contracts. His extended contacts with local trades and business leaders, combined with his focus on satisfying the client’s requirements, makes Dean a valuable asset of the management team.
Paul has almost 20 years of experience in the building industry, both in Australia and in Ireland, his country of birth. He is an enthusiastic professional who has worked on a broad range of sectors, including education, health, commercial, residential, custodial, and civil infrastructure.
Paul joined Nicholson Construction in 2011 as a Contracts Manager and, with his detailed knowledge of contracts and project administration, he progressed to Commercial Manager. In 2018 he was promoted to Director, whilst still leading all commercial aspects of the business, including contract and risk management, project financial control and reporting.
With a background in Quantity Surveying, Paul excels in the skills of contract management, estimating, procurement and financial control, having honed those skills with tier one companies in Australia and Ireland.
