About Us

Nicholson Construction was established in 1889 and is built on a foundation of the strong and open relationships it forms with its clients, staff, contractors and suppliers.

The company’s ongoing success is based on continuing to build on those relationships.  For every project, a co-operative and mutually beneficial approach is supported by open, honest and transparent communication; the very best internal expertise; and the very best local trades and suppliers.  These relationships are based on long-standing trust, experience and knowledge, ensuring the very best project outcomes.

Across regional Victoria, Nicholson Construction knows, engages and supports local trades and materials suppliers and understands that infrastructure investment in regional areas fosters successful and prosperous communities.  The company’s clients benefit from these well-established local and regional connections.

With a focus on commercial work, Nicholson Construction has experience across government health, education and public facilities; as well as private retail projects.

Nicholson Construction projects have included hospitals, public facilities and museums, to buildings of significant cultural and national significance. In addition, detailed heritage restoration is a specialty.

Every phase of every commercial project undertaken is subjected to detailed and rigorous performance standards, cost management, compliance requirements and ISO9001 (quality), AS4801 and FSC (safety) and ISO 14001 (environmental management) standards.

In administering projects, Nicholson Construction employs the latest technology to manage fiscal elements including digital estimating, scheduling and accounting. In addition, tools are used that help provide accurate predictions about construction planning timing and cost, well before the project gets underway.
